Project acronym: AQUATEST Project full title: Low-cost water test for developing countries - a preparatory study Contract number: Proposal No 037091
THIS PROJECT HAS NOW ENDED. For details of the next phase of the AQUATEST research programme, please visit the Aquatest2 project web site.
THE AQUATEST PREPARATORY PROJECT is dedicated to developing a low-cost test for microbial contamination of water sources in developing countries. Disease spread through contaminated water is responsible for an estimated 1.8 million deaths every year, and a low-cost water test would help prevent these deaths by identifying those water sources that are contaminated and those that are safe - ‘OK to drink’.
